Are there differences between our experience as nerdfighters online and off, in the wider world and among other nerdfighters? We'll discuss women who make and do rad things, where gender divides exist and are being torn down, and strategies for supporting each other as we charge forth into another decade of nerdfighteria.

The Importance of Nerdfighteria as a Safe Space: Taking Stock and Looking Forward
Even though the nerdfighter community is vaguely defined, there seems to be a consensus among a majority of its members that it is a space where they can safely voice their opinions and find support. This panel will explore attributes, values, and actions that work in keeping the community positive and engaging, both online and off. It will also look into ways of improving the experience for an even wider variety of its members.
